Tubs of Tasmania
Tubs of Tasmania is a lovingly curated digital guide to Tasmania’s most unique accommodations, all featuring indulgent tub experiences, highlighting the island’s natural beauty and artisan charm.
I’m Judy Martin — founder of Tubs of Tasmania, and a passionate explorer of this incredible island I call home.
The pandemic shifted my perspective, the world felt smaller, but Tasmania suddenly felt bigger, more mysterious, more beautiful, more worth exploring. My husband Peter and I began taking staycations, seeking out places off the beaten path. What we found surprised us: a collection of deeply restful, breathtakingly beautiful retreats, each one featuring something special…….outdoor baths, indoor/outdoor baths, steaming hot tubs, flickering firepits.
From misty waterways to the ancient Huon Pine forests, from windswept coasts to tranquil, tucked-away valleys, each spot was a pocket of peace, a celebration of nature, and a perfect place to just be.
Friends started asking, “Where are these magical places?” So we started keeping track… and that’s how Tubs of Tasmania was born.
We created this website to shine a light on the unique and beautiful baths and tubs found across Tasmania. From rustic outdoor soaks with stunning views to thoughtfully crafted indoor and outdoor sanctuaries, each one tells a story of design, place, and experience. Our goal is to celebrate these hidden gems and inspire others to discover the charm of Tasmanian bathing culture.
This site is our love letter to slow travel, cosy nights under the stars, and the simple, soul-deep joy of soaking it all in, literally.
We invite you to explore Tasmania by bath, by tub, by fireligt and maybe, like us, rediscover a little of yourself along the way.
