Tubs of Tasmania
Tin Dragon Cottages is a unique 36 acre alpaca farm and bush retreat, with five cottages overlooking the Ringarooma River in Branxholm north east Tasmania.
Each accommodation choice has a private native garden and bar-be-que area, full kitchen and laundry facility. Studio cottages have private outdoor heated massage spas. Cottages have cosy gas fires for warmth in winter.
Follow bush trails along the river, through ancient tree ferns and into an historic alluvial tin mine. Here, a sculpture trail leads you to an area of reflection under scented Sassafras trees. Shinrinyoku!
Meet our alpacas! Join us as we walk with the alpacas along the river each morning.
Fish, swim or kayak in the river.
Allow the calmness of nature to wash over you, enjoy the night sky, enjoy fresh local foods, picnic on the river, walk the bush trails and make friends with the native wildlife and alpacas.
Bath/Tub/Spa Experience: Three studio spa cottages (Fon Hock, Chintock and Ah Back) have private outdoor courtyards with electric massage spa baths. Sink into the warm depths beneath the sparkling dark sky. Listen to the soft sounds of the nocturnal wildlife. Here is your place to unwind, recharge and reconnect with nature.
Pet Friendly: We are registered as Land-for-Wildlife. So pets must be controlled and are only permitted with prior approval.
Firepit: There are wood-fired Barbeques and fire pits between the cottages and on the river.
Indoor/Outdoor: Each cottage also has an indoor shower, studio spa cottages have indoor double shower and outdoor electric spa bath. Of course there is also the river just outside your cottage, too!
Accessibility: One two-bedroom cottage—Ah Moy—is fitted for wheelchair access. However, this cottage does not have a bath or spa.
Welcome Pack: Upon special request. All cottages have coffee and tea and basic toiletries.
